Hand Washing 101

To keep your Bare Pause soap in good condition, always keep it on a soap dish that allows air to circulate and dry the soap. Don’t leave it in a puddle.

Hand Washing 101: Wet your hands. Turn OFF water. Rub the dry bar of soap with your wet hands. Place bar of soap back on soap dish. Rub up a lather; turn a little water on and add a little more water; continue to make lather. Do this about 20 seconds to remove germs (friction does it). Turn on more water, rinse well. Pat hands on clean towel to remove about 90% of water. With remaining moisture on hands, rub hands dry. The remaining moisture after the towel pat down is emollient/glycerin, a benefit of hand made soap. By using wet hands on a dry bar of soap means you don’t run three times as much soap down the drain.

By all means use the soap in the shower; just remember to find a place in the shower that it can be kept without being dripped on. The drip of water from the shower head will melt that bar of soap. Never use a breakable soap dish in the shower.

Bare Pause Soaps also produces natural creams, salves, and lotions, and synthetic natural lotions.
